How do I purchase a Chappelli Cycle?

Chappelli bicycles can only be purchased online via our website www.chappelli.com.au. Your bike will normally be built up and dispatched within 24 hours of placing your order and you will receive an email confirmation advising you of the consignment number and expected delivery time.

Please note that because our bicycles are delivered directly to you there is 15-20 minutes of assembly required before the bicycles can be ridden.

What assembly is required?

The bicycle will be delivered partially assembled and it will be up to you to unpack and assemble it. This straightforward process should take 15-20 minutes, even with no prior experience.

It requires a 5mm and 6mm Allen key and a 15mm spanner or adjustable wrench. We’ve supplied these both in a a tool kit that comes with the bike and included a step-by-step instruction guide to help you. If you have any doubts, we strongly suggest you take the bike to a licensed bicycle mechanic to be absolutely sure your bike is assembled correctly ($50-$100 depending on the mechanic). We recommend www.velocycles.com.au in Melbourne ($55 for check-over and brake service).

To assemble your Chappelli bicycle you will need to attach the handle bars, attach and adjust the seat, fasten the front wheel and screw in the pedals. You will need to add the reflectors and bell to comply with Australian standards. Before riding you should check that all the bolts and screws are tight and the brakes align correctly.

Do you deliver internationally?

At the moment Chappelli Cycles only delivers within Australia. However if you live internationally or want one of our products shipped internationally please email us and we will see what we can do.

Where do you deliver in Australia?

We deliver all over Australia to residential and commercial addresses. Delivery rates vary depending on your location in Australia. If you are based in Sydney you can choose to pick up your purchase from our warehouse in Bondi.

How long does delivery take?

Chappelli Cycles uses TNT Express for our logistics support. Delivery times vary according to your State, but in general, it takes 3-5 business days to deliver to metro areas, and 5-7 business days for rural areas, from the date your order is confirmed.

TNT Express will deliver the bicycle to your home or office, as long as someone can sign for it (which is why most people prefer deliveries at work). If TNT can’t deliver it on the first attempt they will call you and organize another drop. If that fails then they will start charging you money, so be warned!

What size frame do I need?

Chappelli Cycles are currently made in three frame sizes (50cm, 54cm and 58cm) that should fit the majority of people. However, if these frame sizes aren’t right for you or if you have any questions about sizing call us on 0413221686 or send us an email to pablo@chappelli.com

Where are the bikes manufactured?

Our bicycles use parts manufactured in Taiwan by suppliers of leading bike brands. Our bicycles are assembled in China by a Taiwanese manufacturer of US and European bicycles. The bicycles are checked and tested in Australia before being sent out to you.

Does Chappelli have a guarantee on its bicycles?

We offer a 1 year guarantee from purchase on the frame and component parts of our bicycles for any manufacturing defects excluding normal wear and tear.

What is your returns policy?

If you purchase your bicycle online from Chappelli Cycles and are not entirely happy with your Chappelli Cycle within the first 2 weeks then you can return it for a full refund including postage fee!

What care & maintenance is required?

Chappelli Cycles encourages you to regularly maintain and service your bicycle for best performance. You should regularly check your bicycle to ensure bolts and screws are tight and the brakes work correctly. Please refer to our bicycle instruction manual for full details. Bicycles should not be exposed to rain for extended periods. If you live in an area close to the sea, you should regularly apply a light protective layer of bike grease.

How do I keep the rims and frame looking pristine?

Chappelli Cycles have unique 42mm painted alloy rims with machined edges for superior braking performance. The rims mean the brake pads grip on metal and do not wear away the paint so your bike keeps looking great.
